Authenticate using 2FA
You will be prompted to authenticate with 2FA when you access the Profile tab in your portal.
If you are using an authentication app, enter the six-digit code from the app, then click Authenticate.
If you are using SMS authenticate, click ‘here’ to send an SMS code to your registered mobile number. Enter this code in the verification screen and click Authenticate.
You will be directed to your profile once you have successfully authenticated your access.
Authenticating with your Backup Email Address
You can use your backup email address to authenticate if you are temporarily unable to access your usual 2FA device.
From the 2FA verification screen:
-
Click Recovery Options > No access to 2FA device temporarily.
-
Enter the one-time authentication code you receive via email into the ‘Enter code’ field.
-
Click Next.
Remember a Device
You can save your authentication by ticking the ‘Remember this device for 1 day’ checkbox. This means that you won’t need to re-authenticate each time you log into your portal again for the remainder of the day.
Please note that due to security requirements from the ATO, it isn't possible to remember your device for a longer period.
After the 1 day period expires,, you will be prompted to authenticate again when you log in. If the checkbox is not ticked, you will be required to authenticate each time you log into your portal.
Forgotten Password
If you have forgotten your password and are unable to authenticate, please contact an administrator for your portal so that they can reset your 2FA settings.
