Configure Payroll in an Entity

Overview

You can manage the specific payroll settings for an entity in your portal in Config > Company Management > select the entity > Payroll.

The default entity in your portal will have payroll automatically enabled and this cannot be disabled. Additional entities can be enabled and disabled as required, by ticking the Enable Entity Payroll checkbox.

Payroll Settings in an Entity

When Payroll is enabled in an entity, you can configure the following settings:

Regulatory Region	The regulatory region for the entity (can not be edited once the entity is saved) Only regions which have been enabled for the portal will be shown in the drop-down list Payroll is currently supported for Australia and New Zealand only
Payroll Address	The physical address associated with payroll
Outgoing Email	The settings which are applied to all payroll related communications sent from the system (eg pay advices, SuperStream Compliance - Missing Details) The Email ‘From’ Name is the name that a payroll related email is sent from. If this is not set, the Entity Name is used. The Email ‘Reply-To’ Address is the email address that will prepopulate if a recipient replies to a payroll related email. If this is not set, the Email ‘Reply-To’ Address from Entity Details is used.
Default Bank Accounts	The default bank accounts for making payments to employees and contractors Bank accounts will need to be set up in the Company Management > Accounts tab before they will appear in the drop-down list
Payroll Tax Settings	Checkboxes to identify if the entity is liable for Payroll Tax and whether or not the Payroll Tax Threshold is being claimed
Payroll for ABN Contractors	Checkboxes to identify if Payroll Tax, superannuation, deductions and insurance should apply for contractors being processed through Supplier Payroll
SuperStream Settings	The Default Fund USI identifies the default superannuation fund set for your portal, if this applies. Employees can be opted into the default fund when submitting their superannuation details if they don’t nominate their own fund. The SuperStream contact and account information are also set here
Tax Office Settings	The ATO Signatory is the person authorised to sign PAYG payment summaries. This is a mandatory field. You can also indicate whether the entity is FBT Exempt and registered for Working Holiday Makers here.
myGovID Machine Credential Details	The current myGovID M2M Credential settings that have been set for the entity.
Single Touch Payroll	Checkbox to enable Single Touch Payroll in the entity
Contact Details for ATO Queries	The contact person for ATO Queries (not required for STP)
Account Codes	The Tax Paid Account Code for the entity
