Pay Item Subtotaled by Job Title
The main difference between this component and Pay Item is that this component subtotals the charge items by job title before summarising by charge item type.
The table that makes up the component shows the following:
Item Sub-Total (ex GST) |
Shows the type of charge item (eg Base Hourly, OTx1.5).This column also shows the job title being used to subtotal the charge items. This is taken from the Job Title field in Users > Employees > select the employee > select the job > Workplace Details. |

Shows the total number of units charged for the charge item type |
Unit |
Shows the type of unit associated with the charge item type (eg HOUR) |
Ave Rate |
Shows the average dollar value of one unit of the charge item type. This is found by adding together all instances of that type of charge item in the invoice, then dividing by the number of instances. In the example invoice, there are a total of three instances of the Base Hourly charge item for the Administrator job title. Those instances all have the same charge rate. But if one of the instances had a charge rate of $60.00, then the calculation would be:Base Hourly Ave Rate = ($40.00 + $40.00 + $60.00) / 3 = $140.00 / 3 = $46.67 |
