Why do I need to regenerate my STP Update?
STP Update messages are populated with employees' payroll data at a given point in time: when the message is generated.
Any changes to payroll data that are made after this point will not automatically be pulled through to your STP Update message, which can lead to some inconsistencies between other system reports and the figures you see in your STP Update screen.
When do I need to Regenerate an STP Update?
Before you start reconciling your end of financial year data, you'll need to make sure that the values in your STP Update are current by regenerating them.
You'll also need to regenerate any time after the initial generation of the message that you make changes to any of your employees' payroll data.
How do I regenerate an STP Update?
To regenerate the STP Update message:
- Go to Payroll > Process Payroll > STP Update
- Report Settings > choose the relevant financial year > select any other filters > Go
- Select everyone
- With selected... > Regenerate > Go.
