Overview
Changes that are made to Customer profiles are captured in the Reports > System History > Audit Report. This includes the creation, modification, or deletion of Customers, as well as Approver Groups, Workplaces, and Billing Groups.
The Audit Report will detail each change that is made in a Users > Customers profile, capturing the settings in the profile at the time that the action was performed. You’ll be able to review which user has made a change, which fields were updated, and the date and time of an action.
Please note that the Audit Report will only capture information that is entered when logged into a portal. This does not include updates submitted through the API.
Audit Changes to Customer Profiles
Actions are summarised and colour coded in the body of the Audit Report, depending on what kind of change is being made: new customers are marked as green, modified records are orange, and deleted records are red.
You can view further details of a particular change by clicking the arrow to the far right of the audit summary line.
When a new customer is created in Users > Customers > Add New Customer, the Audit Report will display the user who performed the action, the date and time that the customer was created, and the selections made in the Entity Details, Billing Details, Compliance, Project Management, Default Settings, Customer Notes, and Integration tabs.
The Audit Report will detail both the previous and updated values for any fields which are modified by a user. This includes any fields that were previously not completed, or populated fields which have had data removed.
Updates to a Customer record will also include the user, time, and date of the change.
When a Customer record is deleted in Users > Customers, the Audit Report will detail the user who deleted the customer, the settings on the Customer record at the time of deletion, and the date and time that the Customer was both created and deleted.
Approver Groups, Workplaces, and Billing Groups
In addition to changes made generally to Customers, the Audit Report will capture information on Approver Groups, Workplaces, and Billing Groups. These audit records will follow the same conventions as outlined above for Customer records, whenever a record is created, edited, or deleted.
