JobAdder Integration Summary

The JobAdder integration automates the process of importing Contingent Placement data. This results in new Jobs being created in Astute and existing Job information being updated. This integration also supports Permanent Placement invoices being pushed from JobAdder into Astute.

The integration runs on a trigger when certain criteria in a Placement are selected and parses any new or changed Placement information into Astute.

It brings across the key information that you require to manage your employees, to pay your employees for the work they do, and to charge your customers for this work. 

This includes the following information or Objects:

• Employees
• Jobs
• Customers
• Approvers
• Recruiters

The integration does not pass data back into JobAdder and it will not push any data to Astute that is not part of the Standard Mapping. 

Source of Truth

Placement information is exported from JobAdder into Astute Payroll. This means that the data in JobAdder needs to be accurate and up to date, as this is the source of truth.

If you create or change data in a JobAdder record that matches the criteria, all of the data for that Placement will be exported into Astute again and override any correlating data in Astute.

You can manually amend fields in Astute, however if you re-save that Placement in JobAdder, this will override the manual change in Astute.

Note: The exception to this is name and address, which JobAdder will only send once in the initial push. This means that if an employee makes an update to their name or address in Astute, it will not be overridden by what is in JobAdder.

You will need to make any required changes to those fields in both Astute and JobAdder, if you want to keep the two systems the same.
