New User Email Notification
When you first start with an agency or employer, you will be sent a 'New User' email to your nominated email address that includes everything you'll need to set up your access to your Astute portal.
The email includes the URL of the portal your employment is linked to, as well as instructions for you to set up your password. You'll need to do this before you can log into and access your portal.
The layout of the email you receive will depend on what type of user access you've been issued, but will contain:
- a user ID (the Username to be entered when logging in)
- a link to set up a password
- a link to the portal URL
Clicking on the password setup link will open a new browser window, where the password and security questions are set up.
Set Your Password
To set a new user password:
Enter the new password, ensuring that it meets the password requirements listed at the top of the screen.
Re-enter the password in the Confirm New Password field.
Select two security questions from the drop-down lists.
Enter the answer to each question in the Answer fields. These answers are not case-sensitive.
- Click Set Password.
Once a password is set, the user will be returned to their login screen, where they can enter their username and password to access their portal.
Password and Security Question Requirements
The password requirements that display when setting up a password are based on the portal password settings.
If a password does not meet the listed criteria, it will be flagged as invalid and cannot be saved. Users will need to enter a different password, ensuring that all criteria are met.
The Security Question and Answer fields must all be filled in, with two different questions set. Incomplete fields or repeated questions will be flagged by the system.
