Overview
There are a few different reports that can be used to review your data that has been exported or has failed to export to Xero.
Export History Report
The Reports > Integrations > Export History report lists any exports which have been successfully sent to Xero.
The Report settings drop-down will allow you to search for a specific date range or Export Type. There is also an additional column that allows you to download a Supporting File. This file contains additional information about each item you attempted to export to Xero.
If the export was partially successful, the Event Status will show 'Sent'. You'll be able to see how many items were successful in the Contents column. You can also use the Supporting File to check the details of any of the items that were not successful, which may assist you with locating the source of the error.
Note: The option to 'Reset for Export' DOES NOT apply to the Xero integration. You can not reset items that have successfully exported.
API Log
A record of each block of invoices, manual journals, or credit notes will be made in Reports > Integrations > API Log.
If you've exported a large number of items in a single export, it will have been broken down into smaller blocks of 100. For an export of 350 items, you will see 4 API Log ID's, one for each block.
To view the log for Xero exports only, set the Report Settings > Method drop-down to:
- Xero.Invoices to filter for invoices or credit note exports
- Xero.ManualJournals will filter for payroll exports
By default, the API Log will show a list of logs with a status of ‘FAILURE’ or ‘CRITICAL’. Click on a Log ID to view the log for more information.
Successful exports can be viewed in the API Log by setting the Report Settings > Status filter to Success, then click Go.
