Overview
There are two ways to manage Insurance in Astute. The first is the Simple Method which is included in all portals as standard. The second is the Insurance Module which is an additional function you can choose to pay for.
If you choose to use the Simple Method, Insurance References and Rates need to be managed manually.
Assign an Insurance to a Job
To assign an insurance to a job:

Go to Users > Employees > select the employee > select job > Payroll Admin.

Enter the Insurance Reference and Insurance Rate in the Insurances section.

Click Save.
Assign an Insurance to an Occupation Library
To assign an insurance to an Occupation Library:

Go to Config > Payroll > Occupation Library.

Select the Occupation to edit.

Enter the Insurance Reference and Insurance Rate.

Click Save.
If you need to record Insurance for contractors, the ‘Enable Workplace Insurance for Suppliers’ setting will need to be enabled in Config > Company Management > select the entity > Payroll.
